APA membership is for all persons who have made contributions to the scientific study of population issues through their research, teaching, writing, or other related activities.

Types of membership

For professionals, either actively employed or retired irrespective of place of residence. Regular members have full rights to vote in elections and participate in Association activities. $10 USD membership fee is for those currently enrolled in university studies of the population. They also have full voting rights in the associations. On graduation, they are encouraged to become regular members. From the year 2020, regular membership and student membership fees increased to $30 USD and $10 USD per calendar year accordingly. To encourage regular members to make advance payments, the fee will remain at $25 USD per calendar year when an advance payment of 3 years is made.
